At Girls in Gear, we believe every girl deserves the chance to grow into the biggest, boldest, and brightest version of herself - on and off her bike. Our experience-based curriculum teaches life skills through bike skills in a non-competitive environment that promotes holistic physical activity and positive mental health. Girls in Gear is designed for every rider - balance bikes, tricycles, two wheels, and everything in between.
Now more than ever, girls need the independence that comes from moving freely through their communities - along with the emotional tools to handle whatever life throws their way. We embolden girls of all ages and abilities by using bikes to build confidence, autonomy, and courage. Because when girls can ride safely and confidently through life, there’s no telling how far they’ll go.
THE DIFFERENCE YOUR SUPPORT MAKES
At Girls in Gear, we are continuously committed to creating safe spaces where all girls can be their truest, most authentic selves. To do so, we're proud to offer a no-questions-asked scholarship policy for all our programs, including bikes and helmets, so that everyone can ride with us.
We make our programs accessible to every family through no-questions-asked scholarships. Help us ensure that finances are never a barrier.
ACCESS FOR ALL
Volunteers are our heartbeat. Help us provide the safety training and curriculum guidance they need to lead with confidence.
POWERFUL MENTORS
A bike is more than gear - it’s a vehicle for resilience and joy. Help us eliminate the equipment barrier for every community we serve.
