Supporting girls to build CONFIDENCE on and off their bikes

At Girls in Gear, we are continuously committed to creating safe spaces where all girls can be their truest, most authentic selves. To do so, we're proud to offer a no-questions-asked scholarship policy for all our programs that includes bikes and helmets so that everyone can ride with us.

When girls get in gear, they find within themselves the tools and power to be the best version of themselves. Your support gives girls the opportunity to learn about their bikes, and in turn, themselves in a fun and inclusive environment. Donations help us to continue to make biking accessible for everyone.

 The difference your donation makes

PROGRAM COSTS

Beyond our no-question-asked scholarship policy, we are committed to keeping our registration fee low in order to ensure that everyone has a chance to ride with us. Your support will help support the program costs not covered by each registration fee.

Volunteer coaches

Coaches are the heartbeat of our program! Your donation will help support our enthusiastic volunteers and ensure they continue to have access to the best training, curricula, program supplies, and staff support.

program Gear

We collect used bikes from the community that then go to our bike shop partners. This way, we are providing a sustainable solution to scaling our program in a way that doesn't require constantly raising money for new bikes, utilizes the generosity of community partners, and finds homes for existing bikes.

GO THE DISTANCE SO SHE CAN TOO

Going the Distance is our adult fundraising initiative for raising money to support subsidized programming for girls in low-income communities.

As part of Going the Distance, you can fundraise while you train for any running, cycling, triathlon, or hiking events. If you’re getting your body moving, move in support of Girls in Gear! Our team will be there every step of the way with customized fundraising support, training, and so much more.
